The New 10 Commandments of Marketing

(after AI took over)

Neil Patel and I sat down to rewrite the commandments of marketing—because AI is changing everything.

Introducing… The New 10 Commandments of Marketing:

  1. AI + Human Touch: AI alone won't cut it. You need humans to bring the final touch. The perfect blend will get you the best results.

  2. Be a Top 0.1% Learner: Don’t just consume content. Implement, experiment, and execute. The learning curve is steep, and only hands-on experience will keep you ahead.

  3. Brand is Your Moat: Build a brand that stands out. Copycats can replicate your product, but they can’t replicate the trust and loyalty you’ve built.

  4. Leverage Data: Use your data not just for insights, but to drive distribution and product improvement. Data is the new moat.

  5. Commit to the Long Haul: Real growth takes time—decades, sometimes. If you’re in it for the quick win, you’re playing the wrong game.

  6. Value Drives Conversion: Offering real value—like a free core feature—will drive stronger conversions than just giving away content.

  7. Optimize Search Everywhere: Don’t limit yourself to Google. Optimize across all platforms where attention is being paid. People are searching everywhere.

  8. Play Natively: Each platform has its own game. Play by the rules of each one to get the most out of your efforts.

  9. Think Global from Day One: Plan for international reach. Global marketing isn’t just an option—it’s a must.

  10. Master One Channel First: If resources are tight, don’t spread yourself thin. Master one channel before diversifying.
