Entrepreneurs keep getting trapped by shiny knowledge syndrome.

They continually talk to others, read, and learn new things that could, in theory, improve their business.

Recently, everyone has been telling me about this "founder mode."

Or people have been sending me Peter Thiel clips and talking about his secrets to success.

Look, all of this advice is great. These people are more intelligent than I am and are more successful.

However, most entrepreneurs are wasting their time and need to keep their heads down and focus on the fundamentals.

Nail the boring and ugly stuff before you spend too many hours on LinkedIn or X looking for the latest tactic or advice from some billionaire.

Businesses are built off the boring and ugly. A book or social post will only get you so far.
