...But they arent' a revenue engine (yet)
Most people are trying to use AI to increase top-line revenue, but that’s the wrong strategy (for now).
It’s not that it won’t happen. It’s just not ready yet.
The smarter move? Use AI to cut costs, boost team efficiency, and scale your ops.
Here’s how I break it down:1. DIY – Do It Yourself
This is where 90% of AI usage sits right now.
You prompt the tool. It gives an output. You fix the output.
Think ChatGPT or Midjourney.
Great for solo creators or scrappy teams, but it’s still manual labor, just faster.
2. DWI – Done With You
You’re still involved, but AI is starting to act more like a junior partner.
Take Replit. You can generate a working app by giving it a prompt, feeding it design references, or showing it a screenshot.
We’ve built similar agentic workflows into ClickFlow:
It surfaces internal linking ops
It consolidates thin pages
It handles basic SEO cleanup
Still needs a human. But it eliminates hours of repetitive work.
3. DFY – Done For You
This is where the magic starts, but it’s rare.
I used Genspark recently to call a restaurant and change a dinner reservation—without me lifting a finger.
That's real delegation. No prompt tuning, no back-and-forth. Just results.
The key is that there is no human in the loop.

Companies have already tried replacing their teams with AI.
They’re already hiring them back.
The dream of pure AI-led revenue? Not there yet.
But AI-led efficiency gains? That’s happening right now.
