50% of our leads come from this one move

A traditional tactic that's still successful

The single move that generated half our early Karrot customers. You’ve heard it before: The fortune is in the follow-up.

But most people still don’t take it seriously.

When it comes to closing deals, following up is the difference between getting ghosted and landing revenue.

Here’s what I’ve seen:

40-50% of our early customers at Karrot.ai came directly from follow-ups. Not first touch. Not demos. Follow-ups.

It doesn’t matter if you’re selling software, services, or physical products—staying top of mind is everything.

And the truth? Most salespeople give up after one or two messages.

You have to keep showing up.

Because no one is sitting around waiting for your pitch. They’re busy, distracted, and buried in noise.

So if you’re not following up relentlessly, you’re leaving money on the table.

Here’s what to do:

  • Build a simple follow-up system (CRM, Notion, whatever—track it).

  • Automate where possible, but don’t lose the personal touch.

  • Aim for 5–7 follow-ups minimum before calling it quits.

  • Mix up your channels (email, DM, text, video).

Sales isn’t just about being the best. It’s about being remembered.
