The 401(k) Myth Busted for High Earners

Why the wealthy are rethinking retirement savings...

Is the 401(k) overrated for the wealthy?

Most financial advice is tailored for the average person, but the rules shift when it comes to the wealthy.

The 401(k) is great for most people as a forced savings tool, but for the rich, the contribution limit is often too low to make a significant impact. They prefer liquidity, using that money for higher returns or seizing business opportunities that can't wait.

While standard advice might suggest filling your Roth IRA with index funds, aiming for high-growth stocks like NVIDIA or Tesla could maximize tax-free gains.

And here’s a bold thought: If you’re unhappy with your financial situation, consider starting a business. It’s not just about potential profits—it’s about taking control of your life and embracing the personal growth that comes with it.

Those who complain about their lack of freedom or earnings often haven’t taken the leap to create something of their own.

At the end of the day, what are you willing to risk?
